How would you describe your personal style?

A mix of patterns that I think resembles unicorn throw-up. Although I like to play in the realm of minimalism from time to time.

What is the inspiration for your looks?

I love pop art, lively editorials, and minimalistic photography and architecture, so my looks usually ping-pong between hyper pattern clashing and minimalism. I am also heavily inspired by menswear.

Where do you like to shop, and why?

I only shop at stores that are not on my Boycott list—so those that do not heavily exploit garment workers, the environment, or support immoral causes. I love small designers and local brands (although they might not be within my student budget).

What are some of your favorite pieces in your closet?

I love my floral-and-bird bomber jacket (pictured) and my patterned button-down shirt from Iran.

What does fashion mean to you?

For me, fashion is where I can integrate my personality with my morality into a visual experience.

What do you think of UCOF’s mission and presence in the fashion industry?

Fashion is more than just the clothes, and I think UCOF knows this very well. I love that UCOF is harnessing the artistic power of art and channeling into the empowerment of youth and supporting amazing causes. That is exactly what fashion should be for.
