How would you describe your personal style? I am a minimalist so I like for my style to reflect that I don’t like anything that draws too much attention to one place.
What is the inspiration for your looks? I follow a lot of men’s fashion instagrams which gives me ideas of what to wear. I am a political science/pre-law major so I like to dress up a lot. Which means I like to wear a lot of sweaters, dress shirts, chinos and dress shoes. Also, I jokingly think I have an internal fashion compass.
Where do you get most of your clothes from, and why? Most of my clothes are from J.Crew, H&M, Nordstrom, Banana Republic and Marshalls. I would say I am a very picky buyer so I go through the stores and see what I like. Also, money has a huge factor on what you can buy, so Marshalls is a great place to find good deals on nice clothes.
What are some of your favorite pieces in your closet? My penguin peacoat, my “Shark blazer” (a grey blazer with a little sheen) and my sweaters.
What does fashion mean to you? Fashion is an awesome way to express who you are and how you want the world to view you.
What do you think of UCOF’s mission and presence in the fashion industry? UCOF’S mission and presence in the fashion industry is needed. Minorities need to be represented more in fashion and all other industries. UCOF gives (underprivileged people) the tools needed to be a force within the fashion industry.
