NEW YORK, NY – March 28, 2015 – Michael Palladino, vice president of fashion education at United Colors of Fashion (UCOF), lead an educational workshop at the 2015 Leadership Conference Middle Schools: Pillars of Collaborative Education. Hosted by the Middle School Principals’ Association of the City of New York (MSPA), principals, administrators and community leaders were in attendance at the event.

Palladino presented the workshop, “Empowering Youth Through Fashion Education”. The seminar showcased the ability of Fashion Education to educate, motivate and inspire students while reinforcing important academic skills. Educational keyholders were also lead through a modified version of the UCOF course, The Power of Brand.

UCOF is actively reaching out to local schools and educators ahead of its Fall Fashion Education Seminar. “We are making an effort to raise awareness and gain the support of NYC Schools for our program,” Palladino said. He hopes that educators will see Fashion Education as a valuable supplement to the current core curriculum. “It is important that we are all reaching out and spreading the word at every opportunity.” UCOF’s Fashion Education team will offer more informational meetings and seminar demonstrations for interested educators and education professionals throughout 2015.
