Spring is Almost Here…

Have you registered for our Fashion Education Program yet? The deadline for the Spring session is quickly approaching. Here’s a sneak peek at some of the courses being offered this year:
- Fashion 360 Seminar
- Styling 101
- Fashion Branding
- Introduction to Visual Merchandising
The cost of the program is free for candidates who are:
- Residents of the NYC metro area*
- In financial need
- Between the ages of 15 and 20 and currently enrolled in school.**
- Interested in the fashion field
- Able to attend the entire seven week seminar program in order to earn a Certificate of Completion
*Exceptions can be made for parts of NJ.
**Applications from College graduates or people who are considering a career change to fashion will be considered. Based on our limited resources there will be a nominal fee for these seminars to help us cover costs.
Application Process:
Sessions are scheduled to coincide with the traditional academic calendar. The sessions are offered twice a year in both the Spring and Fall.
The Spring 2015 application is now available online. The complete application must be received by February 20th, 2015. Pending a review of the application, all applicants will be contacted by e-mail with the status of his or her candidacy. Telephone interviews will be conducted with final candidates.
The seminars are expected to begin on Saturday March 7th, 2015. They will run on consecutive Saturdays, with the Spring session ending on April 17, 2015.
The UCOF Fashion Education Program offers accepted students with an interest in fashion learn and master the skills required for successful careers in the industry. Students realize their dreams through a series of seminars in which they will learn of the many opportunities in fashion to include styling, event planning and fashion show production. The mission of UCOF is to inspire and nurture the next generation of fashion business leaders.
